Each duplex pairs two 700-square-foot cottages under one shared roofline — cream board-and-batten siding, a dark roof and trim, wood front doors, and its own small porch. Lavender and rosemary do the color work outside. Each side is its own French Casita — one bedroom, one bath, and an open living-dining-kitchenette — with its own Airbnb listing. Casita Gris isn't a side project funding a good cause — the cause is the whole reason it exists. As the village grows toward twenty cottages, its earnings are designed to become a sustaining source of income for The Sanctuary Home, alongside grants, contracts, and charitable giving.
We wanted guests to feel that the moment they arrive: a village that's cared for, because it's caring for someone else too.

The Sanctuary Home is a foster-to-adopt home and three-stage residential community, built to move vulnerable children from safety, to stability, to independence — in small, family-style homes with consistent caregivers, not an institution.

A smaller, age-appropriate home where children begin taking on more responsibility as they grow.
Older teens progressively build life skills, work experience, and a real plan for education, employment, and housing.

A Board provides fiduciary and strategic oversight. An Executive Director leads the nonprofit day to day. A Residential Services Director oversees children's programming, and a Hospitality Director runs the revenue-producing village — keeping the mission and the enterprise accountable to each other.
